This hand-carved porcelain bowl features an organic reticulated pattern that creates an open, sculptural form while allowing light to pass through the piece. Each bowl is slip-cast before every opening is individually carved by hand, making each one unique. The unglazed warm white porcelain has a soft matte surface that highlights the subtle contours and craftsmanship of the carving. Though modest in scale, the bowl has a strong sculptural presence and is equally suited for display on its own or as part of a collection. Shifting light creates changing patterns of shadow throughout the day, emphasizing the openwork design. Measures approximately 4.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches high.
