This one-of-a-kind porcelain vase is meticulously hand-carved with an intricate openwork lattice and delicate raised relief. Its elongated form transitions from a solid lower body, articulated with geometric panels and fine linear carving, into an expansive reticulated upper section composed of interlocking, organic forms. Slender raised elements wind across the surface, creating a subtle contrast between the architectural structure of the vessel and the fluidity of the hand-carved lines.

The vase is slip-cast in warm white porcelain before being extensively carved and pierced by hand. Its unglazed surface retains the natural luminosity of the porcelain, while the openwork allows light to pass through the vessel and cast intricate shadows onto its surroundings.

At 10.75 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter, its slender proportions give it a strong vertical presence. The combination of solid and open surfaces creates a particularly striking silhouette, allowing the vase to function as a sculptural object even when displayed without flowers.

The piece exemplifies the meticulous labor and precision of hand-carved porcelain, transforming a simple vessel form into an intricate work of contemporary craft.
