This hand-carved porcelain vase is slip-cast in white porcelain and individually carved to create a flowing pattern of fine vertical facets that catch and soften the light. Encircling the vessel is a sculpted gold ribbon, tied into a delicate bow that provides a subtle point of contrast against the warm white porcelain.

The contrast between the unglazed porcelain and the luminous gold accent creates a quiet balance of restraint and ornament. The vase’s gently flared rim and tapered silhouette lend it an elegant, contemporary presence, while the carved surface invites close inspection from every angle.

Each piece is created entirely by hand by Isabelle Abramson in her Vermont studio. After casting, every line is individually carved before multiple firings, with the gold detail applied by hand in the final firing. Because of this process, each vase is unique.
